Train from St Goarhausen to Stuttgart, via Frankfurt.
We rode across Stuttgart to our accommodation – Hostel Alex30. It was like an oven! We had to borrow a fan.
Went for a wander through town and stopped for a beer at a café in a large square. All of a sudden there was a commotion across the other side of the square, about 100m away. Looked like somebody was being chased, got caught, then got a thorough kicking. Cops arrived a few minutes later, by which time the assailants had departed the scene.
We continued our walk and came across a big brew pub for dinner – Carl’s Brauhaus. Had a very nice meal and beers.
Got back to hostel. No aircon and it was hot as hell. Managed to get a noisy fan from reception.
